Advanced knowledge of project management process areas including integration management, scope management, quality management, time management, cost management, risk management, human resource management, procurement management, communications management, and professional responsibility. Experience coordinating with architectural/engineering teams.
Outstanding communication skills— Ability to collaborate with customers and stakeholders and define requirements. Ability to organize projects, teams, and manage end‐to‐end work processes. Ability to explain complex concepts and options to a non-technical audience.
Expertise in telecommunications planning— Proficiency with telecommunications inside and outside plant design— Desired Qualifications: Experience in aerial facility design: pole layout, wind/storm-loading, copper and fiber self-supporting cables. Experience in underground facilities: direct buried and bored pathways, cable vault/maintenance hole/handhole design, and duct bank/innerduct layout. Experience with cutovers, temporary installations, constructability, risk analysis, and value engineering. Experience with federal facility rules and regulations on communication operations. Experience with underground copper air pressurization systems. Knowledge of physical security for telecommunications infrastructure. BICSI RCDD certification.
Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 8 years of experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. Location: This position will be located in Los Alamos, NM.
