Production Planning: Demonstrated experience in manufacturing and quality documentation,

Advanced experience in preparing and reviewing engineering designs. Expertise in project development, reporting, and presentation to management and sponsors. Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing with diverse employees and organizations at all levels (e.g. technicians, process owners, product/quality/design engineers, project managers and other management)
Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge and demonstrated experience in manufacturing process development. Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience in materials characterization techniques, including metallography, SEM/EPMA, FTIR, Auger, XPS, etc. Vast knowledge of Analytical Chemistry Techniques and advanced knowledge of and demonstrated experience in metallurgical processing of actinides, especially plutonium and its alloys and compounds.
Production Planning: Advanced knowledge and demonstrated experience in manufacturing and quality documentation, e.g. preparing travelers or production plans, specification development and gap analysis, qualification of processes, preparing data packages, etc.
Computer Proficiency: Advanced experience maintaining detailed records of work using standard computer software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs.
Education/Experience at R&D Engineer 3
Position requires a Master’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution and 6 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level a Ph.D. may be preferred.
