This position will be filled at the QA/QC Inspector 4/5 level, depending on the skills of the selected candidate. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if the candidate is hired at the higher level.
QA/QC Inspector 4 ($76,900- $122,200)
The successful candidate will program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) to perform moderate to highly complex inspections of high explosive (HE) components and assemblies, which include the development of inspection processes and strategies, as well as selection and use of appropriate equipment. The components or assemblies to be inspected are frequently of a complex nature and may require non‐routine set‐ups and computation of dimensions that may or may not be shown on the component drawing. A foundation in dimensional inspection within the manufacturing environment is key to success. Inspection operations include the use of open set‐up equipment and CMMs and other high accuracy metrology Measure and Test Equipment (M&TE).
QA/QC Inspector 5 ($83,900- $136,600)
In addition to what was outlined at the lower level, at this level the successful candidate will lead the implementation of quality inspection for high explosive operations. This will consist of providing advanced inspection consultation with engineers, scientists, machinists, and other stakeholders.
