As a Nuclear Facility Engineer 1, you will be assisting qualified criticality safety engineers and the programmatic operating staff in the conduct of criticality safety evaluations for new or proposed changes to existing fissionable material operations. You will be mentored and trained in NCS policies and practices, and most importantly, you will spend time in nuclear facilities in order to build strong working relationships with supervisors and teams that perform hands-on work, and you will support the implementation of the NCS Program for their fissionable material operations. Education/Experience: Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university and 0 to 2 years of practical work experience necessary to perform the responsibilities outlined above. Advanced engineering or technical degree is highly desired. Current registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) is highly desirable.
