You will report to the MSS-TA55 Group Leader and Deputy Group Leader and assist/supplement them in ensuring effective program execution, sound fiscal stewardship, adherence to safety and security policies, program development, personnel development and other business administrative issues. MSS-TA55 is responsible for providing maintenance services to FOD 1. MSS-TA55 is responsible for the initiation, planning and execution of Facility Maintenance at the TA-55 Plutonium Processing Facility. The TA-55 Maintenance Manager 4 is responsible for supporting the management of the MSS-TA55 Group as well as the execution of various process improvement initiatives for MSS-TA55. Key responsibilities include: Increase organizational efficiencies and productivity through improved teamwork. Oversite of Work Control to include planning, scheduling and the Work Management Center. Manages the development and implementation of the rolling T-week process for MSS-TA55. Work with other TA55 Organizations to integrate maintenance activities with TA55’s Pit Production Mission. Manages the prioritization process for maintenance activities to ensure that work is planned, scheduled, and executed in a applicable time frame that supports TA55’s mission. Reviews changes in scope to active work packages and oversees the revision of the work package if the scope change is determined to be major. Manages the tracking of established priority of work packages. Manages integration between the Maintenance Coordinator, Work control/Planning, Work Week Coordination, and Work Execution teams. Manage the development of a TA-55 qualification program for maintenance coordinators and work week coordinators Support the implementation of P950, Conduct of Maintenance program at TA-55 Facilities. Manages various functional and administrative activities in conjunction with the Group Leader and Deputy Group Leader including, but not limited to, permit development, testing requirements, documentation generation, records management, database information management, retrieval and review, and/or training. Function as a member of the MSS-TA55 management team and participate strategically and tactically in decisions impacting MSS-TA55 efficiencies.

Demonstrated experience developing Annual Maintenance Work Plans in accordance with AP-MNT-005, Annual Maintenance Work Plan. Experience with the various AP-341, Conduct of Engineering Administrative Procedures. Thorough knowledge of plant operating practices and procedures. Demonstrated ability to successfully develop effective customer relationships. Skills in negotiation for dealing with customers and support organizations and resolving conflicts. Demonstrated knowledge of LANL requirements for Integrated Safety Management, Formality of Operations, Conduct of Maintenance, Conduct of Engineering, and Safety Basis. Demonstrated experience with LANL nuclear facility work control process. Demonstrated experience with document development, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Asset Suite, etc.) Demonstrated experience with development and implementation of a T-week scheduling process, with Conduct of Maintenance and Operations and with cross organizational collaboration. Experience in a management position, with demonstrated proven ability to effectively lead teams, manage, supervise, and develop employees, internal discipline to resolve problems and provide solutions.
