The P-4 Thermonuclear Plasma Physics group in Physics Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) is seeking a Research Tec Level 3to support experimental research in intense radiation sources, magneto-inertial fusion, laboratory astrophysics, and basic plasma science. The successful applicant will be expected to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, small-team environment. They will contribute to research in discovery and applied plasma science, build credentials for a career in the national laboratories, academic labs, or technical industry, and gain broad experience in experimental design and operations. There may also be opportunities to collaborate with other ongoing P-4 efforts at facilities both at LANL and off-site (see “Where you will work” below).

New-Employment Drug Test: The Laboratory requires successful applicants to complete a new-employment drug test and maintains a substance abuse policy that includes random drug testing.
Regular position: Term status Laboratory employees applying for regular-status positions are converted to regular status.
